- Discription
- A system that enables accurate measurement of the actual size of migrating fish
Utilize Advanced AI Technology
Accurately estimating the size of fish is crucial for determining the appropriate feeding rate and optimizing yield. However, the traditional method of manually measuring fish by taking them out of their tank is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and often results in errors. Moreover, this method can cause harm and stress to the fish, increasing their vulnerability to disease. Additionally, the number of samplings collected can impact the accuracy of the measurements, making it challenging to obtain a precise understanding of the fish's growth.
Our Fish Size Estimation Camera offers a solution to these problems by utilizing AI technology to accurately estimate fish size without the need for direct contact. Unlike traditional methods that rely on the skills of the operator, our AI-powered system can provide precise measurements, minimizing the risk of harm to the fish and improving the overall quality of the product.
Measurement Points
Body length
Standard length: Length from the tip of the maxilla (jaw) to the base of the caudal fin.
Body depth
Body depth: Length from dorsal edge to ventral portions of the fish.
* We also offer measurement options in 'total length' or 'fork length' upon request.
Measurement Procedure
Capture Videos
Fish are captured using a portable underwater stereo camera. The use of LED lights enables photography even in low-light conditions.
Measurement
Our system utilizes deep learning object detection technology to identify fish and measure body length (from the tip of the upper jaw to the base of the caudal fin) and body depth (from the dorsal to ventral portions) using their positional data. *The measurement range can be customized.
Data Analysis
The measured data is stored in a database as measurement records, which can be managed and utilized for further analysis. * Additionally, features such as video data storage, fish size listing, growth process graphing (basic graph, differential graph, scatter graph), and CSV output are also available.
